Who doesn’t know the story of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf?
The story is part of everyone the childhood memories and every child’s bedtime story.
Who didn’t feel sorry for the little pigs and had no empathy for the wolf?
LET’S GO OVER THE STORY:
It starts with the mother telling her kids that they are now ready to explore the world and advising them to build strong houses.
Are the three little pigs ready to live on their own?
Do they have the skills for successful and independent living?
Do they have the skills to take on the challenges coming ahead?
LET’S CONTINUE WITH THE STORY!
So they build their houses. The first two pigs, who want to start enjoying their life, quickly build their homes. The construction wasn’t solid, and the foundation was weak. But who cares! The job is done, the mission is accomplished, and now they can play and have fun. The story describes these two pigs as being lazy and playful.
LET’S LOOK AT THEIR MINDSET:
They know they need a house, but most importantly, they want to play and have fun. Their homes reflect what is important to them without any long-term vision. The third pig, described as courageous and a hard worker, builds a solid house with a strong foundation. He even added a chimney for cooking and heating in cold weather. Then the wolf comes. He knows what he wants! Food! and what is better than three little pigs? He destroyed the first two houses by blowing on them. And the two pigs ran to their third brother. The wolf had a good strategy, and the two pigs had the right solution to save their life. But the same strategy didn’t work for the third house. The wolf cannot destroy it, BUT INSTEAD OF GIVING UP, HE TAKES HIS TIME TO THINK ABOUT A BETTER WAY TO SOLVE HIS PROBLEM. What did the three little pigs do when the wolf left? The first two are stressed and overwhelmed by their emotion and feel trapped as they wonder what to do if the wolf returns.
While the third pig, even though he was scared, COMES UP WITH AN EXCELLENT STRATEGY THAT WOULD SERVE TWO POSSIBLE OUTCOMES.
He put a big pan in the chimney to cook soup.

WHAT DOES SOUP HAVE TO DO WITH THE WOLF?

The third pig knows the only way for the wolf to enter his house is through the chimney.

1) If the wolf doesn’t come back, they will have a yummy soup for lunch.

2) If the wolf comes back, he will fall into the boiling soup.

This story shows the importance of mindset and life skills in facing challenges.
